How would the Royal Navy name additional batches of Tribal-class destroyers?
Short answerIt already had a long surveyed list of imperial peoples, enough to name several additional batches.
NotesThe Royal Navy assembled a list of roughly forty to fifty candidate names drawn from peoples of the British Empire and assessed their martial histories. A second group of sixteen destroyers could therefore have used names already selected rather than shifting to unrelated European tribal names.
