Tjerk Hiddes's construction and postwar survival

British construction led to wartime Dutch service and a further decade with Indonesia, while Denny's test tank survives at Dumbarton.

Notes

Tjerk Hiddes, originally Nonpareil, was built by Denny Brothers at Dumbarton and entered Dutch service. The yard's 100-metre test tank survives as part of the Scottish Maritime Museum, preserving part of the infrastructure associated with her construction. Her Dutch career continued until 1951, when she was sold to Indonesia. She served there for another ten years before being scrapped in 1961.
