French intervention and the Anglo-Japanese alliance

The scenario assumes France joins Russia from the beginning of hostilities against Japan. That intervention would activate the Anglo-Japanese alliance and bring Britain into the war on Japan's side. British naval pressure would obstruct coal supply and attempts to send fleets toward Japan. A further speculative branch has Wilhelm II taking the opportunity to attack France and Russia. That German intervention is a possibility layered onto the initial scenario.
