Military and commercial plans for the flying boat

Blackburn proposed an armed five-crew Air Ministry aircraft and a C.B.2 airliner for an Alexandria-to-Cape Town service.

Notes

Blackburn planned two versions of the large flying boat. The Air Ministry aircraft would carry five crew and Iris-type armament. The civil version, designated C.B.2 for Blackburn's second commercial boat, was to carry three crew, fourteen passengers, baggage, and mail to contemporary airline standards. Its intended route was Alexandria to Cape Town.
