Georgios Averof, Aurora, and USS Olympia are named alongside HMS Caroline as surviving cruisers from the First World War era. Aurora belongs to the earlier Russo-Japanese War generation. She also survived the Battle of Tsushima. The examples therefore include ships whose careers had already begun before the First World War.
