Hood was useful because she belonged to a wider fast-capital-ship force, but Tiger, Renown, Repulse, and Hood all imposed different support burdens. Repeating an evolved Renown design would give crews common systems, logisticians common spares, and dockyards one upgrade template that could move from ship to ship.
