Small fleets could buy light ships with credible growth potential

A lightly armed ship becomes more attractive when common modules provide a practical upgrade path backed by Germany's export industry.

Notes

Some small fleets buy lightly armed ships because they expect little need for high-end combat. A MEKO-StanFlex package would let them defer expensive weapons and sensors while preserving a practical route to add them later. Denmark supplies the modular idea, and German firms add much greater export reach and industrial weight. The offer would make a modest initial fit compatible with later modernisation if threats or budgets changed.
