LAMPS suites moved between aircraft, and LAMPS Mark III entered service aboard the SH-60B. HSL-41, then Helicopter Anti-Submarine Light 41, was established in 1983 and became the first squadron to receive the variant. It later became HSM-41, or Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 41.
