The first volume collects photographs and information on Scandinavian patrol boats, a subject made more useful by the number of patrol-craft videos emerging from the trip. A second book on icebreakers contains the drawings and visual detail needed to understand ships that receive less coverage in general naval histories. Both books are in Swedish, but diagrams, images, and translation tools make them workable research sources. Technical museum books can justify their cost by preserving plans and vessel-specific information that are hard to replace.
