Newer home-based fighters could release Spitfires and Hurricanes for Asia

Continued fighter replacement could strengthen Far Eastern forces through aircraft transfers and opportunities for short-service officers to gain experience.

Notes

As newer fighters replace existing types in Britain, Spitfires and Hurricanes become available for other stations. Deployments would also maintain personnel numbers and give short-service officers opportunities to gain experience. The process would improve the Far Eastern force without requiring every unit to receive the newest aircraft first. Its timing depends on replacement production and the training system continuing through the longer peace.
