A radar refit forces weight and stability compromises

In the campaign design screen, adding radar to the Canada-class battleship requires thousands of tons of savings, careful port-starboard balance, reduced pitch, and concessions in armor, machinery, and cruising range.

Notes

Radar cannot simply be bolted onto the Canada-class battleship without changing the rest of the design. The refit must recover roughly four thousand tons through changes to bulkheads, armor, boilers, and cruising range. Pitch and lateral offset also have to remain acceptable because both affect gunnery accuracy. The final design gives up secondary characteristics to secure the sensor and stability improvements judged most important for future combat.
