Would 6-inch Yorks become Crown Colony cruisers?

Would the York class have been better with triple 6-inch turrets instead of 8-inch guns?

Replacing the York class's 8-inch guns with triple 6-inch mounts would effectively produce a Crown Colony-class cruiser.
