Protecting artillery with infantry lines and woodland fire

An enemy general advances separately from his infantry, while British infantry and woodland sharpshooters protect the gun positions.

Notes

The British infantry deploys in two lines, each three ranks deep, with troops assigned to protect the general and sharpshooters placed in woodland. Artillery is positioned to support the force whichever way the opponent moves. The enemy general separates from his troops and heads toward the guns, while his infantry advances uphill toward the prepared lines. Sharpshooters in the wood make an angled approach against the artillery dangerous. Although Britain is nominally attacking, the opponent's advance lets the British force use its ground defensively.
