Norway's British Type 26 fit supports shared training

A common Type 26 configuration, shared operating waters and exchange programmes would let Norway learn from British ships before delivery.

Notes

Norway intends to buy essentially the same Type 26 configuration as Britain. The two navies operate in the North Sea and North Atlantic, so the British design reflects familiar operating conditions. Their proximity makes visits and direct consultation practical. Exchange programmes and the earlier British service entries would give Norwegian personnel time to learn the ships before receiving their own.
