North Africa becomes the exile government's air and industrial hub

French North Africa can receive American aircraft, support French air power, and add battleships to convoy protection in the Mediterranean.

Notes

French battleships do not need to be modern equals of the Italian fleet to influence convoy battles. Their presence beside Allied cruisers can deter Italian cruiser groups from accepting engagements that were historically more balanced. Meanwhile, aircraft already ordered from the United States can be delivered to North African airfields and workshops. The region therefore becomes the practical military and industrial center of the French government in exile.
