A modernized HMS Rodney against Yamato

How would a fully modernized HMS Rodney with radar and an excellent captain fare against Yamato?

It would be a difficult, prolonged fight, but a fresh Rodney with good command could still be a dangerous and unpredictable opponent.

The scenario gives Rodney a thorough modernization, reliable machinery, radar, and a captain with the tactical quality associated with Bismarck's final battle. The engagement would still be long and difficult because Yamato combines strong armour with her own sensors and heavy guns. Rodney's powerful battery and history of effective captains could nevertheless produce damaging surprises. Ship condition and command performance matter alongside nominal armour and gun figures.
