Misoa reached Z Beach at Arzew with other landing and troop ships at about 04:00 and had all of Combat Command B's M3 tanks ashore by 08:00 despite fire from a nearby battery. Her slow speed was a limitation, but once in the Mediterranean she remained useful through repeated operations. She supported Operation Corkscrew at Pantelleria, reinforcement runs to Malta after the siege, and Operation Husky in Sicily. The sequence shows why reliable lift and unloading mattered even when an amphibious ship could make only a slow passage.
