Majestics and industrial depth

Nine Majestics demonstrate how a mature maritime-industrial base could field a single class larger than some national battle fleets.

Notes

The Majestic class carried four 12-inch guns, a strong six-inch secondary battery, torpedo tubes, and a substantial protective scheme. It was a recognisable improvement on the Royal Sovereign lineage within the same evolutionary sequence. The Royal Navy built nine of them, a single class larger than the entire battle-fleet strength of some contemporary navies. That scale says as much about British industrial depth as the ships' individual specifications do.
