Could Japan have designed Ise around triple turrets?

The timing and industrial discussion argues that triple turrets were a feasible design choice, although the alternative remains a historian's counterfactual rather than a documented plan.

Question

Were the Ise class's design dates and Japanese industrial capacity too early or too limited for triple 14-inch turrets?

Short answer

No. Italian triple-turret ships were already known before Ise was laid down, and turret manufacture was a solvable factory and transport problem within Japanese capability.

Notes

Dante Alighieri had demonstrated a triple-turret dreadnought before the Ise design was finalized, leaving time for Japanese designers to study the arrangement. Turret manufacture was also separate from the much larger problem of finding additional battleship slipways. Turrets could be produced in a purpose-built factory and moved by rail, road, or heavy lifting equipment to the yard. The conventional six-twin layout was a conservative choice, while a four-triple Ise remains an analytical alternative rather than a recovered Japanese proposal.
