Hood's protection and the need to maneuver

Hood's added protection did not remove the importance of maneuver, prompting a criticism of British handling at Denmark Strait.

Notes

Hood remains a ship intended to use maneuver in this interpretation of battlecruiser design. The extra armour incorporated after Jutland does not make her suited to a prolonged exchange of heavy blows. The criticism of British handling at Denmark Strait is that the ships should have maneuvered independently. Tovey's handling of King George V and Rodney supplies the comparison.
