Nigeria retained all four triple six-inch turrets until X turret was removed in 1954. Reconstruction for India largely followed the Newfoundland plans and incorporated electronics and radar intended for an abandoned Hobart refit. She recommissioned as Mysore in 1957. Her Indian career included a collision that severely damaged HMS Hogue's bow. Mysore served for 28 years before decommissioning on 20 August 1985.
