After almost a year in home waters, Enterprise deployed alongside Emerald in the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station. She stayed away from the immediate Nanking crisis area while contributing to British deterrence of further Japanese interference. More frequent returns allowed the Navy to inspect her experimental turret for fatigue and reliability problems before the mounting entered wider service. A profile view shows three funnels and an aircraft launch platform aft, visible features shared with the class despite the sisters' differences. Enterprise combined overseas presence with an extended engineering trial.
