Helicopter drone interception during a canal transit

Helicopter-launched rockets depend on flight permission and the setting of a transit.

Notes

Using helicopter rockets against drones requires the helicopter to be airborne when needed. Flight permission cannot be assumed during passage through the Suez Canal and Egyptian territory. In this assessment, firing shipboard guns in self-defence and launching airborne rocket attacks raise different concerns. The possibility of rockets hitting something ashore complicates the helicopter option.
