Question

Would the Gurkhas get along with Star Trek's Ferengi?

Short answer

The immediate answer is yes, but other participants suggest Romulans or imagine a Gurkha-Klingon encounter based on respect for a formidable opponent.

Notes

The first answer to whether Gurkhas would like Ferengi is yes, before other suggestions turn to Romulans and Klingons. The imagined Klingon encounter centres on respect for a formidable opponent, with a joke about being beaten by someone much smaller. One participant supports the comparison by invoking Klingon stories about defeating gods and an afterlife that appears in parts of Star Trek. Others question how those claims work within the setting or suggest interference by the Q Continuum. The later comparison with Warhammer 40,000's Khorne is a playful association through martial imagery and beliefs.
