Where the Japanese ships fit into British commands

Fuso would join Jellicoe's battleships, the older Japanese battleships would reinforce the Channel, and the Kongos would enter Beatty's command after months of joint training.

Notes

Fuso fits the Fourth Battle Squadron, where it can operate near Jellicoe and the 14-inch-gunned Canada. The semi-dreadnoughts are more useful reinforcing the Channel force than disrupting Grand Fleet gunnery practice. The Kongo-class battlecruisers create the hardest integration problem because they bring speed, 14-inch guns, Japanese gunnery expectations, and a senior Japanese vice admiral into Beatty's command structure. Destroyer flotillas and older armored cruisers give each detachment screening strength and opportunities to gain operational experience alongside British forces.
