The captured ships' later service and prize value

The prizes ranged from long-serving additions to immediate scrap, while their combined prize money rewarded the British crews.

Notes

The six captured ships had very different futures in British hands. Sans Pareil survived until breakup in 1842, while Juste was a popular command before decommissioning in 1802. Achille and Northumberland were broken up as unserviceable on arrival, although their captors still received prize money. Impétueux burned in a dockyard fire during repairs in 1794. America initially entered service as HMS America, then became HMS Impétueux in July 1795 and served until 1813. The combined prize money was about £201,000 in 1794, a substantial reward even when a hull could not be retained.
