A young Baltic Shipyard delivers the sister ship

See how the Baltic Shipyard's international industrial roots supported construction of the class's second cruiser.

Notes

The Baltic Shipyard was founded in 1856 by a Saint Petersburg merchant and Scottish engineer Murdoch MacPherson. It grew into one of Russia's important high-quality naval yards and later built prominent cruisers and battleships. The yard received the order for Gerzog Edinburgski in 1870, launched her in 1875, and delivered her in 1877. Completing the ship on that schedule was notable for a relatively young enterprise that was also passing through an ownership change.
