Gallipoli was not solely an Anzac campaign

A detailed order of battle places Anzac formations within a much larger British, French, Indian, and naval commitment.

Notes

The April order of battle included British regular brigades, the Royal Naval Division, Australian and New Zealand formations, Indian units, and French brigades. The August force expanded with additional British divisions and two French divisions. The Anzac contribution remains central, but it was one major element of a broader coalition campaign. The order of battle matters because popular memory can otherwise turn a multinational expedition into an exclusively Australian and New Zealand operation.
