The early discussion lays out the expected tasks: concentrate the battle fleet against Italy and Austria-Hungary, protect North African troop movements to France, cover colonies and commerce, and keep enough order in the Mediterranean that Britain could focus elsewhere. This is the best starting point for viewers who want the strategic map before the stream turns to ships, commanders, and operations.
