Formidable follows the Crete-to-Norfolk repair route

The fighting off Crete badly damaged Formidable and tore away HMS Nubian's stern, although the destroyer survived the war. Formidable received temporary repairs at Alexandria and probably further attention at Durban before crossing the Atlantic. Norfolk completed the full repair before the end of the year. During later exercises, Formidable collided with Illustrious in a storm.
