Force Z survival and an Allied carrier counterstroke

If Prince of Wales and Repulse survive, they could become the core of a stronger ABDA naval force. Saratoga is a possible reinforcement, although her release would depend on American command decisions. British carriers would contribute their practiced night-strike doctrine and radar-equipped aircraft, which could find and track the Japanese force before the American dawn attack. British fighters could then defend the fleet while Saratoga committed hers to escorting the strike. This remains a proposed sequence: the location of the opposing forces and who finds whom would affect whether it could be carried out.
