Sea Hurricanes could be moved below on Indomitable's lifts for maintenance. Their wings did not fold, so storing them in the hangar consumed disproportionate space. The aircraft had to sit at an awkward angle on the lift, which made handling slow. Keeping most on deck left room below for folding aircraft and maintenance work.

Sea Hurricanes could use Indomitable's lifts
Non-folding wings made routine hangar storage inefficient, even though Sea Hurricanes could be taken below for maintenance.
