Flower corvettes became a multinational escort type

Flower-class service crossed Allied national boundaries and continued in many postwar navies, with transfers to the United States illustrating reciprocal wartime aid.

Notes

Britain supplied Flower-class corvettes to the United States within the wider Lend-Lease relationship. American aid overwhelmingly dominated that exchange, but vessels also travelled in the other direction. Wartime Flower operators included the British, Canadian, American, Free French, Free Belgian, Greek, Indian, Dutch, New Zealand, Norwegian, South African, and Yugoslav navies. Postwar use extended to further fleets, including Argentina, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Israel, Ireland, and Thailand. The class's career therefore continued across many national services after its original wartime escort role.
