How Flower-class corvettes moved between navies

Allied transfers and captured French hulls carried the Flower design into American, Belgian, Norwegian, and German convoy service.

Notes

Flower-class ships moved between navies through Allied transfers and the capture of unfinished hulls. HMS Candytuft became USS Tenacity under reverse Lend-Lease, while Buttercup passed from Belgian to Norwegian service. France's defeat left four Flower-derived hulls in German hands, and Germany completed three after further modification. The first entered service in September 1943, roughly four years into the construction program. Their sturdy design then supported German coastal convoys, putting escorts intended for the Allied side to work for its opponent.
