Chapter · 33:26-36:37

Fleet numbers, production, and standardization

A fleet spread across three galaxies needs enough command cruisers and production discipline; bespoke variants and slow replacement make force structure less credible.

Notes

Starting from the stated High Guard total, a rough allocation of heavy-cruiser battle groups implies hundreds or perhaps a thousand Glorious Heritage-class ships. This scale raises an industrial question: why are new types and replacements apparently so slow? Defending three galaxies should require distributed yards and repeatable designs instead of dependence on a few individually styled hulls. Fleet availability therefore depends on standardization, distributed construction, and enough production for the tasks assigned.
