Standardized twin turrets simplify Royal Navy support

Replacing a mixed twin-and-triple battery with five identical twins trades three guns for simpler maintenance, training, and fleet support.

Notes

To bring the design under its weight limit, the first option mixes triple and twin turrets, but that creates two mounting types on the same class. Dropping from thirteen guns to ten in five identical twins avoids that complication. Standard mountings reduce separate component stocks and maintenance requirements while making turret crews interchangeable. The Royal Navy could cross-train personnel, use any turret for firing practice, and support the ships with the same twin mountings already fitted across a larger fleet.
