Building a 40,000-ton battlecruiser in Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts

The design trades a G3-style all-forward battery for a conventional four-guns-forward and four-guns-aft arrangement because the game hull and tower options make the preferred layout too heavy. Its narrow beam, deeper draft, 34-knot speed, and eight 16-inch guns put speed, weight, armour, and firepower into the same design problem. Radar is an anachronism for the 1933 scenario, since a real ship would more plausibly have received it later in the decade. The duel explores what a much lighter, faster capital ship might achieve against Bismarck without presenting the result as a historical reconstruction.
