Macintyre's books as a participant's view of naval war

Macintyre's books range from U-Boat Killer to wider naval history, with much of his own career described by him.

Notes

U-Boat Killer, published in 1956, is recommended as Macintyre's own account of anti-submarine warfare. His wider writing included Destroyer Man and books on Jutland and Narvik. Wings of Neptune addressed naval aviation, while other books covered battleships, admirals, and the Battle of the Atlantic. Many accounts of Macintyre therefore reflect his own view of his career.
