Capital ships and light carriers for Australia and Canada

Removing treaty limits could let Australia and Canada acquire reconditioned capital ships and light carriers, with time to train before war.

Notes

Removing cumulative treaty limits would end the pressure to concentrate the Empire's capital ships and carriers in Britain's own fleet. As the Royal Navy commissioned new ships, reconditioned Renown and Revenge-class ships could pass to Australia or Canada. Older capital ships could guard convoys and support amphibious operations. An opponent seeking a reliable victory might send two capital ships against one older ship, leaving those vessels unavailable elsewhere and vulnerable to a fast counterattack. A light fleet carrier developed from Unicorn could also give the Dominion navies carrier experience. Extra peacetime would let both navies learn to operate these larger forces before war.
