Expanding diesel production from German fuel resources

The supply case includes producing diesel from coal and concentrating fuel production on the navy's chosen requirement.

Notes

The supply argument favours diesel because Germany could expand its production using available resources and technology. Those resources included coal, from which versions of diesel could be produced. Concentrating naval demand on this fuel could simplify supply. Additional output would depend on that concentration, especially reduced effort on heavy ship oil. The proposal gives no quantified expansion programme or guaranteed surplus.
