An assumed average build of eight hundred days brings Bermuda forward from August to February 1942. Ceylon moves from July 1943 to July 1941, a much larger gain than the nominal six-month pause. Argonaut shifts from August to January 1942, while Diadem moves from January 1944 to March 1943. These are calculated alternative delivery dates for existing hulls. Earlier completion would release slips while providing enough cruisers to send four or five where only two or three were available. Clearing the backlog would also let yards advance the Minotaurs and Neptunes; the Minotaurs laid down in 1941 otherwise waited behind unfinished ships and mostly entered service in 1945.

An 800-day cruiser assumption changes deliveries and later programs
Bermuda, Ceylon, Argonaut, and Diadem illustrate how earlier completion could clear yards for later cruiser classes.
