Order dates determine the Crown Colony subclass

Which Crown Colony subclass would suit additional Australian, Canadian, and Indian orders?

The first design if ordered alongside the original group, or probably the second batch for orders after 1942.

The proposed Australian, Canadian, and Indian cruisers would follow the design current when they were ordered. Orders placed with the first British group would use the first-generation design. Orders after 1942 would probably adopt the second batch instead. Procurement timing therefore determines the design in this hypothetical program.
