Why Corfu disappears from maps of the Second Coalition

Campaign maps can obscure the Second Coalition's Mediterranean reach by leaving out substantial Russian and Ottoman operations.

Notes

Maps of the Second Coalition can give prominent space to the Royal Navy and the Egyptian campaign while omitting Russian and Ottoman operations. Both empires sent large forces against French positions in the Mediterranean. Their absence makes the geographical reach of the war harder to see. A coalition's membership list alone does not show where each member fought or how its campaigns fitted into the wider conflict.
