Where to start on convoy escort tactics

Which books explain convoy escort tactics in the Battle of the Atlantic?

Start with B. B. Schofield's Convoys and Russian Convoy, both written by an admiral with relevant destroyer-command experience.

The pair is recommended because it comes from a senior officer who commanded destroyers in convoy work. That practical connection makes the books especially valuable for learning how escorts operated, rather than only what the Atlantic campaign achieved. They offer a direct route into convoy tactics from an officer with relevant command experience.
