The frigate's 16 launch cells can hold quad-packed K-SAAM missiles or land-attack weapons. A five-inch Mk 45 gun, MT30 turbine, MTU diesels, AESA radar and anti-submarine weapons give the roughly 4,300-ton ship a broad equipment fit. Domestic systems sit beside equipment purchased on the international market. Sixteen cells are judged few for that capability.
