Freed capital ships reshape other theatres

Without an Ottoman naval campaign, Queen Elizabeth, the Lord Nelson class, and other heavy units could remain with home forces or reinforce different theatres.

Notes

Removing the Dardanelles commitment changes where scarce British capital ships are available. Queen Elizabeth might remain with the Grand Fleet and be present for Jutland, while the Lord Nelson class could continue supporting the Channel Squadron. Some force would still be needed if Britain reinforced the French and Italian fleets against Austria-Hungary. The point is that a quieter eastern Mediterranean reduces the need for Britain's heaviest units there and creates operational choices elsewhere.
