In this version of Santa's team, Krampus provides security and carries toys or looks after St. Nicholas when he is unwell. Delivering all Santa's presents requires a much larger team than the small cast usually shown in Hollywood versions. The leader has to select people with the right skills and make those skills complement one another. Clear guidance and a rule of respect give the separate groups a framework for cooperating.
