Arctic Whale becomes Bermuda's passenger tender

A former Admiralty whaler passed through commercial whaling before returning to Bermuda as the passenger tender Bermudian.

Notes

The name Bermudian returned to local service in 1923 on a converted passenger tender for St George's. This vessel had been the Admiralty steam whaler Arctic Whale, built at Middlesbrough in 1915. After its sale in 1920, it worked as a commercial whale catcher before the passenger conversion. The reading gives its dimensions as 125 feet by 20 feet and its speed as 13 knots.
