Would Hood's turrets have gone to Vanguard while other turrets were rebuilt for Hood?

Vanguard already had her turrets allocated. In such a swap, Hood's turrets would more plausibly equip a sister to Vanguard.

Vanguard's turret arrangements were already settled. Moving Hood's turrets to that ship would therefore solve a problem that did not exist. If the navy were willing to exchange turrets in the hypothetical arrangement, a second Vanguard-type ship is suggested as the recipient. That depends on undertaking the broader swapping programme.
