A land-attack frigate needs heavy guns and deep strike cells

What would a frigate designed mainly for ground support and land attack look like?

It would combine the largest practical deck guns with a substantial VLS battery, probably Mark 41 for Tomahawk strikes.

The proposed frigate would carry a couple of the largest deck guns its hull could support. A substantial VLS battery, probably Mark 41 for Tomahawk, would provide long-range precision strikes. Hypersonic weapons are also considered, but no definite launcher arrangement for them is established. Precision multiple-launch rockets are less attractive because they would be harder to use flexibly.
